 Members of the band Crosswind have their eyes on seeking God s glory through the music they make. The Austin-based Christian band s new CD, Caution: Crosswind, is the group s second CD release. The songs encourage listeners to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus. It s a message that is near to each band member s heart. Don Allen, bass guitarist, says, This ministry is a positive way for me to express myself through Christ-centered music, and hopefully touch others along the way. Crosswind was formed in 1995 and has played at festivals and Christian events in Austin and throughout Central Texas. The band accepts as many booking requests as possible, so they can present the gospel of Jesus to all audiences, not just youth. We try to reach a wider audience than just young people and share the one true answer to all people s questions in life: Jesus, says keyboardist Denise Squier. Selections from Caution: Crosswind will be played on Bergstrom International Airport s Sonic One radio station, KAGC-AM (Bryan), ChristianRock.net, KHPU-FM (Brownwood), Jam X Radio and Indieheaven. Austin s The Zew News describes Crosswind as the most dangerous Christian group in the area. They have everything great, multi-talented musicians, an awesome sound, a well put-together production, the only light-rig for a Christian band in the area, and, most importantly, a big heart for ministry. The band hopes that Caution: Crosswind presents clearly the message of God s grace and mercy. God takes care of His sheep, and I am one of His lost sheep that has found his way home, says Larry Craighead, drummer. It was only by His gracious mercy that I am here today, and I believe His mercy to be the purpose of my life. Crosswind members agree: God matters most, and serving the Lord is the most important thing in a person s life.
