| Amber Faith Cross |
 Amber Faith Cross, a 26 year-old native of Pittsburgh, PA, has always loved to sing. As a child, she found joy singing in church, and she continued to spend her time using her gifts in this same capacity. Throughout high school, she studied voice, theater, dance, and piano, and found she was determined to go off to Broadway. She thought that she had her life planned, but God had something much better in store for her. With her diagnosis with Juvenile Diabetes just 3 weeks into her start of college, she was devastated. "I couldn't believe it. I had absolutely no idea what God was doing. I thought that everything had to be a mistake. I felt like my life was over. That is when things just started to get exciting!" Just after coming home, Amber met her future husband, Craig Cross, at church. They both decided to attend Valley Forge Christian College the next fall. In June 2000, Amber married Craig, now a Youth Pastor, and is finally seeing her dream of recording a CD coming to life. A former performer at Sight and Sound Theaters in Lancaster, PA, and a previous singer and dancer at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA, she feels honored to finally fully use her gifts to glorify God. "I like to sing, I like to dance, I like to act, but my passion is to use my gifts to lift up the name of Jesus. Nothing has brought me greater joy than my experiences with singing and playing the piano in church." Actively involved in church theater and music productions most of her life, she has had the unique opportunity of using her gifts in secular realms as well. "It is so funny, but when you hand over your life fully to God, he rewards you so much greater than you would ever expect. I remember thinking that no job would be as fulfilling as one in New York, performing while ministering to those I worked with. I am so glad that God got a hold of me when He did. I have been down paths that have helped me grow into the individual that I am today. It is amazing to see how God works everything together for the good of those who love Him. I have gained a new appreciation for this verse by truly watching the hand of God in these last 6 years." Amber is currently booking concerts to share her ministry of music, and testimony to congregations of all ages. She lives just outside of Erie, PA with her husband, Craig, and their two "kids" (dogs), Jonah and Tirzah. |
