 Seventy
Times Seven was born out of the Promise Keepers movement in 1996. B.J.
rededicated his time, talents and treasures to the Kingdom of Christ, and
immediately set about making his vision for a personal ministry into reality.
In a matter of weeks, the reborn rocker found himself surrounded by a group
of mature and evangelistic Christians who were all somehow led to a fledgeling
band being started by a new believer. The prayers for fellowship, discipleship,
and a music ministry in which to serve were answered simultaneously. By
early 1997, 70x7 began to perform as a 7-piece rock band featuring three
guitarists, keyboards, bass, drums and percussion. God blessed the ministry
with impacting concerts and a steady flow of new songs. In 1998, 70x7 released
its first published recording on the Christian Music Association Radio
Sampler, volume 4. Thundercloud was the most scriptural song the band had
recorded at the time, so it was selected for the compilation project. Over
the years, 70x7 has served a variety of Christian churches and organizations,
including an opening night worship concert at the 2000 Creation Festival
in Mount Union, PA. 70x7 has also ministered on the worldwide web through
the use of RealAudio and MP3 recordings since late 1997. The band is currently
in the process of recording new songs, and several of those are freely
available to people around the world when they visit 70x7.com on the web.
